Debunking Truimphail Supporters

Pokebeach is home to 2 kinds of people: Overcritical Asshole jerks who bash a card or set for not being overpowered or not having tons of such cards, respectively; and groupthinkers, who pretty much go with the popular opinion to fit in the conformity and not be attacked, as the PokeBeach community is very much against people who are not conformists. To prove this, check out this particular page of a topic: I pretty much stated my opinion on that grass monkey, Yanppu. Some inbred asshole, TheDarkLucario got butthurt and said that "you deserve to be punched in the face". Another such loser, Gleafeon pretty much agreed. My response was deleted (with no Warning starngely) This is an example of the community forcing its conformity on you.

Overcritical Assholes pretty much have ridiculous standards to judge cards for tournament play. Take Espeon Prime and Houndoom Prime for example. Espeon Prime has a Poke-Body that uses other Eeveelution's attacks and Houndoom Prime can do at least 70-100 damage with 3 energies (depending on energy). Both cards are panned harshly because they would not exactly be popular to use in tournaments and they do not do much. Espeon is pretty much looked at as horrible because there is nothing extremely powerful that a Eeveelution can use.  Houndoom is looked as horrible because the attack is too costly and it's Power (which can burn) is flippy. They have no sense of novelty or mercy, it's not enough to have niche unique ability anymore; the card has to be extremely good, like Luxray GL Lv X and not be countered easily to be any good. Likewise, if the set does not have many cards that fit their judgings, the set is bad. In fact, Rising Rivals (a set WITH Luxray Gl Lv X, Flygon Lv X, Flygon, Infernape 4 Lv X, Lucian's Assignment and many other good cards) happens to bad set according to them. And yet, Triumphail just so happens to just right for them. What biased fuckers.

Conformist Groupthinkers are the better of the two as they are not bad or hateful as the asinine critics, BUT follow their steps. They pretty much suck up their opinions and in efforts to fit in and not be looked at as an asshole. Some groupthinkers actually develop INTO Critical Assholes from copying the mannerisms and trying harder to fit in. However, there are actual people who are conformists, who do not treat certain sets/cards with contempt and post repectfully (such as Meaty, minimidget, and Vulpix Yolk). Those are few and far between, given the huge amount of uneeeded animosity every set gets for not being perfect or pre-meditately loved.

I have come to these conclussions after making observations on how PokeBeach's people act. This behaviour is also on PokeGym, so its seems to be shared on pretty much every Pokemon TCG community. Strangely enough PrimetimePokemon's seems to not have these opinions, but given that he is mainly a collector and these opinions are synonymous with serious Pokemon players.

However, it's not just the TCG that have these kinds of people, but also the Games as well. As there is a huge anti-4th gen movement going on where Tarazuma and Fire_Master have huge (possibily unreasonable) tirades about how 4th gen is horrible. TyrantTyranitar and Tarazuma pretty much hate Pokemon Music that is not chiptune (the former being extremely obnoxious about it). And some serious 5th gen fanboyism with the aformentioned fanboys who flame on people for not liking Yanappu.

For now, I will focus on the Triumphail fanboys. The biggest reason why Triumphail just is Epic Fail of Pokemon TCG, the hype. I'll start with the worst offender:

DarkPkmnTrainer

"I also recommend HS Triumphant. You're probably going to get at least one of the hyped Primes (Mew, Gengar, Machamp), and many of the hyped UC in this set (Lost World, Hunter, Twins, etc).

If he wants Gengar X, just save up like $15 and buy one. The chances of finding a Gengar X in a box are small, since each box has like 2-3 Lv Xs, it may not be in there, and short of Expert Belt and Spiritomb, there's not much else in that set.
"

Likewise, I could get those Trainers and the hyped Primes as singles if I wanted to. But from here it gets A LOT worse.

"Most cards listed from Undaunted are either not useful, or just collector's items. It's probably the worst, or 2nd worst Legend set.

The only cards worth it from UD are:
Scizor Prime
Vileplume
Drifblim
Energy Exchanger

No other cards you listed are actively seen in major decks (outside of energies)"

This is a response to my post that says that Triumphail may be too overhyped and that I feel Undaunted is better. This bitch pretty much shoots that down like if the whole world would be fucked up if someone buys Undaunted over Truimphail. I just love how she lists 4 cards AND then says outside of energies. That last line Illustrates my point about Overcritical Assholes only liking cards that are popular for tournament play. THIS PROVES IT.

And for Undaunted being the "worst" Legend set? No. Triumphail will be that. WHY? Because of the fucking HYPE. Because the set offers very little. Unleashed and Undaunted did not have this huge hype (in fact the latter was hated from the start and the prerelease was trolled, while the former was attacked by douchebags: TheJWittz and Gliscor). Let's see how many amazing cards the LEGEND sets have:

Jumpluff
Ninetales
Raichu
Ampharos
Butterfree
Sunflora
Metapod

Professor Oak's New Theory
Ampharos Prime
Donphan Prime
Feraligatr Prime

Special Metal
Leafeon

Hunter

Triumphail is by far the worst.

"Trumphant over Platinum is my opinion.

No way to Undaunted. Only 1 prime is good and the rest are awful. Triumphant has at least 2 very playable primes, as well as others that will probably see some use, like Machamp. And Hunter!

Platinum's not a bad choice either if you want the trainers/stadiums it offers. But I rather have the new stuff personally.
"

If you want to go all the way, let's say Truimphail over everything, including Dragon Frontiers and Neo Destiny.

Correction= 4 Undaunted Primes are good. Some in Japanese are worth A TON. Triumphail will have 3 Playable Primes, 1 OK one and 4 shit ones, as well as tons of worthless cards.

I just love how she is campaiging heavily to get someone to buy Triumphail. DarkPkmnTrainer is just a fucking rabid Truimphail mark.

----

"Triuphant is WAY better. It has Hunter, Mew Prime, Gengar Prime, and Machamp Prime, and LOST WORLD!! It will be in the set, it said stadiums. There is only 2 lost world and Indigo Plateao.Mew Prime will be worth like $100.00, Genagr Prime will be worth like$75.00. Ans lost world will get banned right away, so it will be worth like $20.00. Hunter will be worth like $10.00-$20.00. Triumphant is WAY BETTER!! "

This boy is 12 years old and that is evident by his occonsional CAPS and ridiculous estimations. His Prices were so off that others actually corrected him in that the Primes will be around $25 rather than the 75/100 price ranges will pulled from his ass. Again, like DarkPKMNTrainer, another Truimphail mark.

"Get Triumphant. DON'T get Undaunted. It isn't worth the money. Platinum is good, but is over $100.00, and is nothing but SP. It is also going to get rotated. "

This is an opinion of a 12 year old kid who happens to be Truimphant mark and he is telling you that Truimphant is must get and Undaunted is bad. This boy is too impresionable to trust, his opinion is not credible at all. In fact, he is pretty much going by fad. He also does not back up his argument on Undaunted. Pathetic.

"And a lot of the cards in Triumphant are Rogue-able.

Marowak/Cubone, Victreebel, Magmortar (deck destruction?), Electrivire (I suppose?), etc etc...

I'll have a lot of fun playing the Rogue-able cards. I mean, FINALLY! PLAYABLE RARES! *cough SV AR RR HGSS UL UD... cough*
"

1)40 HP is too low for Cubone to wall and Dialga G Lv X negates the body, leaving you with a exposed 40HP that can be KO'd.

2)Victreebel is not that good. It's a Stage 2 that can be dispatched easily by Blaziken FB Lv X.
3)Magmortar's deck destruction is ruined by a tails that discard all cards.

4)Donphan weak and countered by Shaymin and Lucian's Assignment

5) Arcanine RR, Darkrai G, Flygon, Mismagius GL Lv X, Infernape 4 Lv X, Gallade 4 Lv X, Absol G Lv X, Blaziken FB Lv X, Charizard AR, Gengar Lv X, Cursegar, Salamence Lv X, Ampharos Prime, Donphan Prime, Feraligatr Prime, Typhlosion Prime, Ursaring Prime, Steelix Prime, Torterra UL, Crobat Prime, Tyranitar Prime, Kingdra Prime, Metagross UL, Ninetales HGSS, Scizor Prime, and Kyogre/Groudon LEGEND would all like a word with you.

"Whatever you do, I would NOT buy Supreme Victors or Arceus. They have tons of bad rares and are definitely not box worthy. If you are looking for staple cards, buy HS. If you really, really, really want Luxray GL LV.X or Flygon LV.X (not that there's much chance anyway...), buy RR. If you want some really great cards, like Gengar Prime, buy Triumphant. I am personally going to buy Triumphant, because of all the great Primes and other cards with potential. "

This guy must have a deep hatred towards Arceus, Supreme Victors, and Rising Rivals (I've seen him act very negatively towards that set, too). He always complains so much about those sets, it's quite annoying. And I love how he just so happens to be on the Triumphant bandwagon.

I'd rather buy a pack of those 3 sets over a box of Triumphail any day of the week.

"DO NOT GET UNDAUNTED.
the primes are not worth anything at all
wait for triumphant. trust me and the many others who posted above
"

ZOMG! DON'T GET UNDAUNTED! THE FATE OF THE WORLD DEPENDS ON IT!!!!!!!1111111111 Get Truimphail instead.

It's posts like these that makes me actually want to buy Triumphail box or entire set,  just to set this whole thing on fire and record it. Fuck ogeray and fuck Triumphail. And Scizor Prime rocks.

"new stuff is generally worth more also, and more tradeable as more people are looking for it
also, rescue energy will be worth quite an amount as will hunter, blackbelt, twins, and lotsof other cards in triumphant
"

More Triumphail billboarding. How much is he getting paid?

"Unfortunately, Undaunted isn't good. (Sorry Espeons!) I'd go Triumphant because of the hype in the cards. Everyone's mentioned Gengar Prime and Lost World, but I'd also select Triumphant because your other choices aren't as good. Rising Rivals is risky. Chances are low when you hope to get a Luxray GL LV.X. Supreme Victors has about ten cards that are playable. Nothing's great in PA except for Gengar LV.X, Expert Belt, the Cursegar and Spiritomb. (Maybe the Arceus are fine too.)"

Let's see: Going out of your way to bash Undaunted despite it having your favorite pokemon and actually siding with the overwhelming hype of Triumphail? That certainly is not a conformity statement at all.

I wonder if I buy Undaunted and never get Triumphail, will the world end? Will I prevent a large scale beneficial happening for humanity? No. I will just give TPCi the same amount of money if I bought Triumphail, I will just have better cards.
